POLICY ON PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING

1. Premise

Pursuant to articles 13 and 14 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation no. 2016/679  (hereinafter also indicated as GDPR) the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli (hereinafter also indicated as "University") provides the requested information regarding the processing of personal data ("Data").

This information does not concern other websites, pages or online services that can be reached through links that may be published on this website.

For each type of data processing, the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli provides the interested party with concise, transparent, intelligible and easily accessible information.

Each statement contains at least the following information:

  • the contact details of the Data Controller
  • the contact details of the Data Protection Officer;
  • the purposes of the processing;
  • the legal basis of the processing;
  • the nature of the provision of data;
  • the categories of recipients of the data;
  • the data retention period;
  • the rights of the interested parties.

5. Purposes of data processing and legal basis

The personal data indicated on this page are processed by the University within the pursuit of its institutional purposes and in any case within the limits established by current national and University legislation.

6. Treatment methods

Personal data is subject to manual/computerized processing by the University for specific purposes guaranteeing the security and confidentiality of the data in compliance with current regulations.

7. Data retention period

The University will process Data for the time strictly necessary for the pursuit of the aforementioned purposes, without prejudice to any terms of conservation required by law or regulations. Only the images detected by the video surveillance circuits are kept for a period in compliance with current legislation.

8. Rights of the person involved

The person involved has the right to:

  • Request the Data Controller for access to the Data, for deletion, correction of inaccurate data, integration of incomplete Data, as well as for the limitation of processing in the cases provided for by article 18 of the GDPR;
  • Oppose, at any time, in whole or in part, the processing of data except for what is provided for with regard to the necessity and obligation of data processing in order to use the services offered;
  • Receive data in a structured format, in common use and readable by automatic device as well as, if technically feasible, transmit data to another Owner without impediments, if the conditions exist for exercising the portability right pursuant to article 20 of the GDPR;
  • Revoke the consent given at any time, without prejudice to the lawfulness of the processing based on the consent given before the revocation.

To exercise the rights to protect personal data, the interested party can contact the Data Controller and the Data Protection Officer, using the contacts indicated above.

9. Right of Complaint

The interested party who believes that the processing of personal data carried out through this site is in violation of the provisions of the European Regulation  2016/679 has the right to lodge a complaint with the Guarantor for the protection of personal data, pursuant to art. 77 of the above Regulation.

10. Video surveillance

Closed circuit video surveillance systems, appropriately indicated by signs placed before their range of action, operate in University locations. Therefore, data also include the images displayed and/or recorded via closed circuit video surveillance systems.
