E-mail

The email service is provided on the Microsoft Office 365 platform and offers the following benefits:

  • 50GB of available space;
  • Sending of attachments up to 25MB without password protection;
  • Access from PCs and mobile devices;
  • Synchronization of messages, contacts, and calendars with mobile devices compatible with Microsoft's Exchange protocol.

For access via the Outlook 365 email program, we recommend using the Exchange protocol.

Using other programs (such as Thunderbird), the login parameters are as follows:

IMAP4: outlook.office365.com -- Port: 993 -- Encryption: SSL/TLS -- Authentication: OAuth2

SMTP: smtp.office365.com -- Port: 587 -- Encryption: STARTTLS -- Authentication: OAuth2

New activations and deadlines

To request the activation of new email addresses (for staff, facilities, or events) and/or to change your personal email address, please send your request to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .

 

Please note that it is no longer necessary to request a deferral of mailbox expiration, as the assignment/revocation of the mailbox license is automatically determined based on the information in the University's centralized databases.
